GOOD GOVERNANCE
Of all the activities governments conduct, public procurement is the most vulnerable to fall under the hands of opacity and corruption. As public procurement is a key economic activity of governments, estimated at around 18% of GDP, it has a major impact on how taxpayers’ money is spent.
Our policy group aims to build support for good integrity and procurement practices by carrying out high-quality and innovative policy-oriented research and analysis on integrity and procurement policies.

Drawing from our experience as legal practitioners on areas of procurement and competition, we offer practical insights on a wide range of subjects including risks to integrity at each stage of the public procurement process, the potentials and limitations for promoting transparency, ways to enhance professionalism and qualifications of officials involved in the process, and the implementation of improved accountability mechanisms.
